For the opening of Boxpark, Croydon, Boxpark commissioned Terraform to create a large scale light installation. The design had to complement two nights of diverse opening shows, hosted by NME and Eskimo Dance respectively. We achieved this by creating a large back drop to the main stage and further enhanced the space with bespoke installations surrounding the main staircase in the event area.
In addition to enhancing the performance space, we also worked with Boxpark to utilise the parks architecture and create a large cube wall on the top deck outside of Boxpark. The 360 degree design allowed the wall to also be visible in the main space while simultaneously announcing to East Croydon the arrival of the new food, drink and music venue.
After the setups and test all of the control for the cubes was handed over to the main lighting director for the event which ensured that the main stage lighting and the cubes all synchronised for the show performances perfectly.
